How Fools Garden Lemon Tree Song Evolved Into A Hit
One of the major hits of the year 1996, Fools Garden Lemon Tree is a song that got to the hearts of many people all over the world. It was a success not only in the European tops, but it enjoyed massive success in the United States as well. The lyrics of the song betray a very dark mood of loneliness and boredom that is marked by the presence of a lemon tree in the room. If

5 Piano Playing Tips You Can Use To Play Better
1. If you’re learning a piece that you find complex, learn each hand’s part separately. Learn piano from one hand to the other for a much easier learning curve. Once you’ve mastered playing each hand separately, it will seem like you are playing without even thinking. This will make it much easier when you combine both hands to coordinate them both because you won’t be trying to think about two separate processes at once time.

By the time you reach a certain age, you think you’ve already learned pretty much everything there is to know about yourself in terms of taste. So it was with utter shock that we greeted the news of the Spice Girls reunion with something remarkably like anticipatory excitement. Who knew we’d kept this secret from ourselves for so long? It was like waking up one morning and realizing you could dunk a basketball or speak Chinese. Anyway, head back

Drummer Rakalam Bob Moses has played with Charles Mingus, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, and Pat Metheny, among many others, and his late-’60s band, Free Spirits, was among the pioneers of jazz/rock fusion. He also teaches at New England Conservatory. Yet for his 60th “b’earthday,” as he called it, rather than celebrating his own achievements, Moses chose to showcase electric guitarist Bhapuji Tisziji Muñoz, whom he considers to be among the greatest and least-known living musicians.

Music, as the cliché goes, is the soundtrack to our lives. Specific songs are capable of evoking an almost tangible feeling of time and place, unpacking, note by note, the things that meant the most to us when we first heard them. In his new book, “Love Is a Mix Tape: Life and Loss, One Song at a Time” Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield hops into a musical time machine for a walk through the songs that made up his favorite mix tapes over the years,

The annual “Mirrorball” series of bleeding-edge music videos and short films is a good way to keep up with trends in fourth-dimensional graphic illustration. What does that mean? That if you go the Museum of Fine Arts tonight or on selected playdates over the next month, you’ll have the experience of opening a high-end design magazine and watching it burst into dazzling, uncontainable life.
You’ll also have to slog through more than a few wheezy

CAMBRIDGE - It was quite the underground music scene at the almost-full Middle East Upstairs Sunday night. Veterans such as Damon and Naomi and members of Magic Stars, the Lothars, and Concord Ballet Orchestra Players mingled among many faces youthful enough to warrant carding.
Not through radio hit or Internet buzz, but by virtue of tenacity, Six Organs of Admittance is not such an obscure name these days. Since 1998, Six Organs, which is San

NEW YORK - She’s as conversant in the arcana of classic, early-’90s hip-hop as she is in the folk music of her family’s native Punjab, India. Spinning on her turntables today, you might find Bollywood anthems, baile funk from Brazil, or neo-Balkan brass-band grooves from her adopted Brooklyn.
Rekha Malhotra, known to one and all as DJ Rekha, is as globalized, hybrid, diasporic - all those adjectives that attempt to encapsulate the cross-fertilizing spirit of our time - a cultural figure as you could ask to encounter.

Music On Hold Origin Selection
Copyright issues are considered while selecting sources of music on hold. Countries where copyright laws are practiced there music is created and composed by the authors. LONDON—More than 40 years after it barred the iconic British band from playing there, Israel said it wants the surviving members of the Beatles to participate in a concert celebrating the country’s 60th birthday.
But the Israeli embassy in London denied a report that the Jewish state had apologized for its original refusal to let the Beatles perform in the country. The band had been booked to appear in 1965, but the government refused to

Ipod Unlimited
The iPod is one of the greatest inventions of the recent times. When the first iPod was launched, nobody had imagined that it would be such a hit. A brain child of Tony Fadell, it was first conceived to provide a better version of an MP3 player. After being turned down by RealNetworks and Phillips, Fadell found support for his project with Apple. Tony Fadell went to work for Apple as an independent contractor, leading a team of thirty people to develop the new MP3 player.

LOS ANGELES—Life just got a lot easier for the head of the Recording Academy.

He should have little trouble delivering on that pledge after the Writers Guild of America agreed Monday to let its members work on the show set for Feb. 10.
Portnow called the guild’s decision gratifying and promised a 50th-anniversary show “with an amazing lineup of artists and performances.”
