I used to be a big fan of the 80’s hair bands when I was a teenager. I have no interest in them any longer so I can comfortably admit that fact. That scene was played out a long time ago as far as I am concerned. I am now happy that I am no longer one the many people that still listen to these bands.
At the present, I would rather listen to Lawrence Welk than listen to hair metal. I still like a few of these band’s songs, but I can rarely hear

Viola Jokes don’t discourage us from filling in the harmonies and living a quiet life in the orchestra pit
“Why is a viola better than a violin?”
“The viola burns longer.”
Ba-Du-Bum!
As a viola player myself I’ve heard hundreds of viola jokes and have earned the right to retell them ad nauseum. This violist ain’t touchy about viola jokes and I’ll even squirt milk out my nose when told a particularly nasty one I haven’t heard yet.

Normally, eighth notes break each beat into two equal pieces. They create the familiar “one & two & three & four &” feel that we’re used to

“How is it done?” asked one student. “How do you create something like December Twilight?” I’ll tell you but you may be surprised at the answer.
December Twilight is a lesson piece (available at http://www.quiescencemusic.com) I created to teach students hand independence. So, how did I create it? I haven’t the slightest idea.
What I mean is, I went over to the piano like I usually do, sat down, and just started to play around. And out of nowhere,

So, you’re thinking about (or are already) playing piano using the chord approach. But, you’re lost in the sea of chord types.
There are minor piano chords, major piano chords, and diminished piano chords. There are 9th chords flat 5 chords and other chords I can’t even begin to describe to you.
The good news is you don’t need to learn piano chords this way. There’s a much easier way to learn them and it all has to do with something called the open position chord.

The Stories Contained In Song Lyrics
In my opinion, music has the potential to alter the world. However, the changes still have to start with the person. You can learn the secrets of the ages through song lyrics if you are capable of listening to music very honestly. I began to understand the transformative power of listening to song lyrics through a set of lyrics written by Linda Rondstadt years ago. It goes, “I’ve been cheated. Been mistreated. When will I be loved?”

Downloading iPod music always brings thrill to users whenever they manage to find the tune they are searching for. It is apparent that the MP3 player has invaded almost all the modern homes of

The Old And New Craze Hip Hop
Music cds and rap music were not heard of during that period, it was all about the vinyl records and rhythm and blues soul. Their music became universal music. If it weren’t for the music and the movement known as hip hop, an entire generations feeling and beliefs would have passed by without being heard. No matter if you like the hip-hop form of music or not, two things are obvious: It sells well and caters to a violent, depraved way of life.

I’m going to talk about something which is so important that I’d say it is the foundation on which your success will be built. If you want to achieve success as an independent musician you’re going to have to know, learn and more importantly, put into practice, this vital ‘key’. You simply can’t and won’t experience true and lasting success without it. Not taking the time to learn this would be like building a house without taking the time to put in a solid foundation for the house to stand on.

Elvis is the #2 biggest selling music artist of all time (U.S.). He is second only to the Beatles, having sold over 118 million units (albums, singles, tapes, cds) and is now the biggest selling solo artist in U.S. history.
There is so much, TOO MUCH, that could be and has already been written about this American music icon, Elvis Presley. So I’m going to write about the cultural impact Elvis had on music and on society at large.

How to learn the guitar online? This is the question most frequently asked by the beginner. When I started to learn the guitar, I paid thousands of dollars to my guitar teacher. The key job of a songwriter is to write a song. Not to perform the song. Not to record the song. Not to promote the song. Not to sell the song. But to write the song.
Your primary skill as a songwriter is to pick the right notes and right chords to go with the right words and right song title and write them into a song.
Firstly, for the end listener. The person who will actually emotionally and financially buy the song, either through buying a CD or record or buying a live performance of the song.

What are the “bare bones” needed to start a rock band? Well, besides the desire itself, one of the first requirements is having the ability to sing and/or play an instrument. Then you will need to find other band members. The size of the rock band will be up to you. Some “power bands” of the 60’s (ie. Cream, The Jim Hendrix Experience) only had three members. These rock bands created a huge sound with only one lead guitar player, one bass player

Six years into the process and they still can’t get it right the first time.
They would be the folks charged with helping “American Idol” contestants make a debut album that just hits it out of the park. An album that isn’t, without fail, composed of one big money track, a couple of good songs, and a lot of personality-free filler.

When your debut album sells in the six figures without support from a record label and signals a new era of do-it-yourself music, you could do one of two things. You could embrace your underground success or work full throttle to shed it. If you’re Clap Your Hands Say Yeah , you do both.
With an inspiring back story that proved the music could stand for itself, CYHSY was 2005’s little indie-rock band that could. Band members sold CDs out of their

There’s a lot of emotional baggage onboard Of Montreal’s eighth full-length album , which would be less remarkable if frontman Kevin Barnes hadn’t spent the last decade acting like an amalgamation of David Bowie and half the cast of “Fraggle Rock.” In 2006, when he visited the Middle East in Cambridge, Barnes took the stage in sequins and danced under blinking neon lights; later, he donned a bridal gown and belted out electroclash. This is what
